An exciting recommended detour is to take the motorboat from Kayila Lodge to Chongwe Camp. From there, canoe along the Zambezi River to Mwambashi River Lodge.
You will be shown to your exclusive East African-style tent at Mwambashi River Lodge. Each tent is built on a raised wooden platform, comfortably equipped with an en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin. Vibrant ethnic colors, quality fabrics and beautiful yellow wood furnishings are tastefully used in the tents. Relax on your private balcony and watch the water of the Zambezi River rush towards the Victoria Falls. The lodge is renowned for its fine cuisine, including delicious three-course dinners. Days 6 – 8: Thorntree River Lodge, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia Upon arrival at the Thorntree River Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zambia, you will discover that the lodge has been specifically designed, with every room boasting spectacular views of the Zambezi River. The friendly lodge staff will show you to your secluded en-suite room with private verandah.
