The town of Livingstone is only 10km (6 miles) from Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, and has a main street dotted with classic buildings. Many have been re-painted or restored.

The Zambezi River approaches the edge of the Victoria Falls quite casually, then topples over a sheer 330-foot drop into the foaming gorge below. This is the widest curtain of falling water in the world about 1,6 km across (1-mile wide)
